Survey Crew Chief – Central New Jersey

A well-established civil engineering and land development firm in Central NJ is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations on a variety of commercial, residential, and municipal projects. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, growing team with a strong project pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage survey crews in the field for boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys
• Operate total stations, GPS, and data collectors with a high level of accuracy
• Interpret plans, plats, and construction documents
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and office staff
• Maintain equipment and field notes in an organized manner
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5 years of field survey experience, with leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
• Experience with GPS and robotic instrumentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license
