Pre/Post OP/OR Registered Nurse

Liberty Park Eye Center is seeking a skilled, patient-focused, and energetic Full-Time Pre/Post Op/OR RN to join our growing ambulatory surgery center team. This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering safe, efficient patient care throughout the surgical experience while serving as a key member of the operating room team.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional care in an outpatient surgical setting.

Experience in ophthalmic surgery is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and education.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV starts and medication administration.
• Serve as the circulating RN during ophthalmic surgical procedures.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and sterile operating environment.
• Monitor patients in the recovery area and provide discharge education.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience.
• ACLS certification.
