Job Description:
This role is an Insurance Defense Attorney at Liberty Mutual, representing the company and its policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation matters.
You will manage the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery through trial prep and court proceedings, negotiating settlements as required.
As a strategic partner, you will research applicable laws and develop appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation, sharing them with claims representatives and insured clients.
You will establish and maintain good relationships with claims representatives and insured clients, conduct training sessions, and provide guidance to junior attorneys or paralegals.
The ideal candidate has a JD degree, membership in the California Bar, and relevant experience conducting discovery, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
