Liquor /Retail Clerk - weekend and some weekdays availability

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection, including offering tastings or product demos when appropriate
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to maximize sales potential
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, upselling products, and offering personalized recommendations
• Ensure compliance with alcohol sales regulations, including verifying legal age and following phone etiquette when taking orders or inquiries
• Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, restocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks
• Support store operations by performing cashier duties, balancing registers, and handling basic retail math for transactions
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
• Operate lottery machine for customers who want to buy lottery .

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or liquor store environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is beneficial
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for creating positive interactions

• Being punctual and be on time based on schedule.
• stocking/restocking shelves with merchandise and do some light cleaning like - dusting bottles and vacuuming , taking garbage out and thrown in dumbster if you are in ending shift .

**** Weekend availability and some some weekdays hours flexibility required
