Liberty is hiring a Director of Federal Business Development to lead growth in federal contracting. This role is responsible for identifying federal opportunities, developing agency, prime, and subcontractor relationships, and managing the capture process. The Director works closely with, Liberty's federal growth advisory partner, which handles proposal development and capture support.
This is a new, senior-level position reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize target federal agencies, contracts, and partnership opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with federal agency contacts, prime contractors, and subcontractors
- Monitor and qualify federal opportunities (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, MRASs, market research and eBuy postings); evaluate and make bid/no-bid recommendations
- Lead capture activities and pre-RFP positioning
- Handled inbound inquiries from federal buyers
- Build strategic partnerships within the federal government, prime contractors and subcontractors and other government-related entities
- Represent Liberty at industry days, small business events, and partner meetings
- Track, record and report on pipeline activity
using NextStage, CapturExec and Hubspot - Coordinate with internal operations and delivery teams to support proposal and contract execution
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal contracting compliance requirements
