Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscape Foreman to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. As a key leader on our crew, you will oversee daily operations, supervise team members, and ensure high-quality landscape maintenance, construction, and horticultural projects. Your expertise in lawn care, bed cleanup and bark installation, ornamental tree & shrub pruning, and gardening will drive the success of our projects while fostering a positive work environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping activities including planting, pruning, mowing, fertilizing, installing and hauling a variety of materials. While safely driving, backing, and operating trucks with trailers & all power equipment
- Lead team members in executing landscape maintenance and construction projects efficiently and safely
- Oversee shrub care operations such as pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote healthy growth
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and environmental regulations
- Manage project timelines, materials, and equipment to meet client specifications and deadlines
- Provide guidance on horticultural practices, lawn care techniques, and gardening best practices
- Train new team members on landscape procedures, safety protocols, and company standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or related fields with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, lawn care, and gardening techniques
- Hands-on experience with landscape construction projects including hardscaping and planting installations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Familiarity with equipment operation such as mowers, trimmers, aerators, thatchers, sod cutters and trailers
- Ability to assess project needs accurately and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- Ability to pass a drug and background test
- Ability to safely drive, and effectively back, trucks with attached trailers utilizing previous experience
