Mental Health Therapist
Liberty House’s Hope & Wellness program is seeking licensed therapists to provide individual, family, and group counseling to child and adult clients generally aged 5-24 who have been impacted by trauma or grief. Primary Duties
- Provide triage, assessment, individual, family, and group counseling, as well as crisis services for clients ages 5 to 24 and their families.
- Complete all required documentation related to client care in a timely manner, including comprehensive assessment and service plan at intake and service notes following each session.
- Screen potential clients at referral for Rapid Access, Brief Therapy, or Routine Therapy and schedule assessment within the policy guidelines for each service.
- Provide case management and consultation services for children and families as needed to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another mental health-related field.
- Meet either requirement below:
- LPC, LMFT license with at least one year of clinical practice with children and families, including abuse survivors (preferred)
OR
- Associate license with at least 1,500 hours of supervised direct client contact (minimum requirement if not fully licensed)
- Fluency in Spanish is Preferred.
- 40 hours of training in evidence-based treatments of trauma
- Must be able to pass a criminal background, DHS Child Welfare Registry, and sex offender registry checks before employment.
