Nurse Navigator - Specialty (Breast Care Center)

Summary: Serves as the main resource for breast imaging inquiries from both inside and outside of the hospital. Navigates breast imaging patients through diagnosis and treatment ensuring timely services and excellent communication with all disciplines involved throughout the continuum of care. Has an overall responsibility for the administrative functions of the service line. Facilitates, coordinates, integrates, and supports exemplary patient care. Educates patients and staff about diagnosis and treatment modalities.

Required Education/Training: Graduate from a school of nursing

Required Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' recent clinical nursing experience in acute care setting

Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN license with eligibility to practice in the state of Missouri; BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Preferred Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN); MSN; or other related advanced degree; graduate from an accredited nursing program

Preferred Experience: Experience in breast imaging or oncology services; nursing leadership or education experience; prior navigator/case management experience

Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
