Home Health Aide

Liberty Homecare is seeking compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides and Caregivers to provide one-on-one care in clients’ homes throughout the Knoxville and Rutledge areas.

We serve former Department of Energy workers, helping them maintain their dignity, comfort, and independence at home. We’re looking for people who take pride in providing attentive care, building trusting relationships, and making a meaningful difference in someone’s daily life.

CNA certification is not required for this position. Previous home care or caregiving experience is preferred. All applicants must complete the applicable agency screening, training, and competency requirements before providing care.

Schedule and Hours

We welcome applicants seeking part-time or full-time work. Weekly hours depend on patient needs, available assignments, and your availability, and may vary from week to week.

During the hiring process, we will discuss your preferred schedule, desired weekly hours, and the areas you are available to serve. Opportunities to increase hours may become available as additional client assignments open.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as directed by their care plans.
• Help with mobility, walking, and transfers using appropriate safety practices and within your training.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client’s care.
• Provide companionship and respectful support while encouraging independence.
• Follow individualized care plans and instructions from the supervising nurse, document care accurately, and promptly report changes or concerns.
• Protect client privacy and follow agency safety and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication.
• A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caring for others.
• Reliable transportation to assigned client homes.
• Willingness to complete required background checks, health screenings, orientation, and training.
• Previous caregiving, home health, or personal care experience preferred. CNA certification is welcome but not required.
