The Stockley Center is a modern 50-bed intermediate care facility which provides skilled nursing care to adults who are living with significant physical and developmental disabilities.
As a Speech and Language Pathologist at the Stockley Center you will use your expertise to support others so they may have a voice, achieve their personal goals, and pursue their interests and desires.
Your daily work will involve
- Developing meaningful relationships with your clients and learning about their abilities, interests, and needs
- Conducting speech, language, communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Creating and implementing person-centered treatment plans which address expressive and receptive language, augmentative and alternative communication, speech intelligibility, and feeding and swallowing
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborating with occupational therapists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, physicians, nurses and direct support professionals
- Promoting resident dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion
- Training and educating caregivers and direct support professionals
You can expect
- $55.00 per hour
- 15-hour workweeks
