Commercial Lending Assistant Supervisor

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a Commercial Lending Assistant Supervisor. This position will be located at 4401 Theater Drive, Evansville, IN. The candidate will oversee the loan process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the Commercial loan file. Responsibilities will include managing the Commercial Lending Assistants. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Supervising:

• Oversee all Commercial Lending Assistants (currently this will be 5 employees)
• Develop and manage commercial lending procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the loan files
• Train, coach, and mentor direct reports to ensure they meet performance targets and quality standards
• Collaborate with other areas in the commercial lending process to resolve issues and improve the overall commercial lending processing operations
• Troubleshoot questions as brought forth by direct reports
• Assist lenders with various tasks such as obtaining/reviewing documents from borrowers, ordering third party reports for loan transactions, appraisals, title work, environmental reports, etc
• Process all loans as assigned, including the most complex files
• Responsible for clearing conditions and issuing changes to the terms on previously approved loans
• Evaluate loan documentation and clear conditions as per delegated authority
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely loan data on processing system
• Undertake special projects and duties as assigned
• Approve timecards and time off requests of all direct reports
• Perform annual performance evaluations for all direct reports
• Recruit, hire and train as needed new employees for area supervised
• Mentor and motive direct reports to exceed monthly target goals
  
  

Other duties:

• Ensure excellent member service is provided to members throughout the commercial loan process
• Resolve, escalate and remedy member service issues in a professional manner
• Maintain a positive work environment by developing helpful relationships with commercial loan officers, underwriters, processors, and quality control team members
• All other duties as assigned by management
