What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Pipe Layer position at Liberty Excavators, Inc.?
Position Requirements
- Must have experience with underground utilities consisting of sewer, water, and storm drain projects.
- The pipe layer is responsible for installing underground pipes, which vary in size (6”-108”) and type (RCP, PVC, Ductile Iron, Steel, etc.) for commercial projects.
- Installation of the pipe includes positioning, joining, and aligning the pipes at proper depths, angles, and grades.
- The pipe layer is also responsible for rigging and setting concrete precast structures such as, manhole inlet structures, etc.
- The pipe layer is essential in communicating with other team members regarding the excavating activities associated with installing the pipe to ensure work is performed safety and efficiently.
Must be able to handle the very physical environment of climbing in/out of trenches, carry heavy items, and working in inclement weather.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass Drug Screen
