Liberty Eagle Academy is searching for a reliable, trustworthy, and innovative Late Stay Montessori Teacher to join our Program. The Teacher’s responsibilities include assisting with developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills, assessing children’s individual needs. Teacher should communicate with other Teachers, Administration, and other communities as required. You should be able to create a nurturing, stimulating classroom where every child feels included.

Candidates should be consistent, dedicated, and willing to put in the hard work and effort it takes to lead a Montessori classroom.
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains a safe, clean, stimulating environment, observes behaviors, models grace and courtesy, preserves and protects lessons, and assists in the development of independence
- Establishing rapport and building relationships with students based on trust.
- Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
- Ensuring children are signed into center daily.
- Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
- Maintain horizontal communication with other teachers within community.
- Assist with daily tasks such as meal prep, cleaning, organizing, laundering, diapering, maintaining children’s feeding and sleep schedule, etc.
- Assist with the production/preparation of instructional materials and maintenance/change of classroom
- Implement strategies and plans based on classroom or individual goals.
Montessori Teacher Requirements:
- Willing to complete Montessori training sponsorship if requested.
- An ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
- Patience and excellent observational, communication, and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Maintain certifications (CPR, First Aid, Health & Safety, etc.)
- Be physically capable of bending, squatting, standing on feet throughout day, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Continued professional development (minimum 10 hours Bright from the Start approved).
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Have a firm commitment to uphold the school’s mission and vision.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $10.25 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
