Your Major Duties Will Include
- Planning and scheduling aquatic programs to include open swim, swim lessons, and pool rentals.
- Overseeing summer operation of the County-operated swimming pools, to include recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff.
- Managing the collection and submission of pool revenues
- Coordinating preventive and routine maintenance of pool facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in aquatics or lifeguarding (supervisory experience a plus).
- Knowledgeable of pool operating procedures and management of pool chemicals.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive.
- Reliable, responsible, and customer service skills.
- The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, crouching, bending or stooping. You may frequently lifts light objects and occasionally lifts heavy objects and must be able to distinguish between shades of color.
- The work is typically performed outdoors. You will be exposed to pool chemicals, noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery with moving parts, and occasional inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- More than one (1) year of related experience required.
- Ability to swim and obtain certifications associated with pool management, to include Certified Pool Operator and Lifeguard Certification.
- Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver’s license.
