Commercial Site Work Laborer

Duties

• Assist with site preparation activities, including excavation, grading, and erosion control measures to protect the environment and ensure project stability
• Handle manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution
• Operate power tools and basic equipment safely, performing routine maintenance or repairs as needed
• Follow all workplace safety regulations, including implementation of OSHA safety standards, to maintain a secure working environment
• Support installation of erosion control devices and ensure proper placement according to project specifications
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, or other structures safely while adhering to safety protocols such as respiratory protection and fall prevention measures

Qualifications

• Prior industrial or commercial construction experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with equipment repair is a plus
• Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of erosion control techniques and implementation practices
• Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining safety protocols at all times

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
