We are a family-owned collision repair shop looking for experiencedAuto Body Technicians. This role involves performing structural and cosmetic repairs, following OEM procedures, and supporting a steady workflow in a collaborative environment.
Job Overview
The technician will restore vehicles to pre-accident condition using proper repair techniques, tools, and safety standards. Responsibilities include all phases of auto body repair, from disassembly, final preparation before paint, to re-assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform collision repairs including frame work, dent removal, panel replacement, and welding
- Complete repairs according to estimates and OEM repair procedures
- Verify correct parts and proper fit before installation
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as needed for repair
- Prepare vehicles to be paint-shop ready
- Coordinate with estimators, painters, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely repairs
- Ensure clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Participate in training when assigned (I-CAR and/or OEM programs)
Qualifications:
- Proven auto body repair experience in a collision center or similar environment preferred
- Strong understanding of repair processes, shop safety, and OEM procedures
- Ability to operate welding, fabrication, and standard repair tools
- Attention to detail and commitment to consistent, quality workmanship
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Punctual, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with other shop employees
- I-CAR training and welding certifications are a plus
- Additional mechanical or dealership experience helpful but not required
