Liberty Classical Schools seeks a full-time Human Resources Manager to join its growing Human Resources team. The HR Manager will be responsible for the day to day administrative tasks of running the HR department under the guidance and leadership of the HR Director. The HR Manager would also play a key role in implementing new processes and onboarding new employees at our start-up schools. This position is currently classified as a hybrid role and requires an on campus presence at our Atlanta school two days a week, and in the Liberty headquarters office an additional two days a week. This is subject to change at the needs of our schools and/or Liberty Classical Schools.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Assists hiring manager with scheduling interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
- Submits and maintains employment verifications, employee certification submissions and renewals, annual mandatory training assignments
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions and generally makes oneself available in-person at regular intervals on school campuses (Atlanta, GA).
- Acts as full back-up to the Human Resources team by cross training in all functions of HR.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
- At least four years related experience required
- SHRM-CP/PHR credential preferred
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Strong understanding of employment laws and best practices
- Ability to reliably travel and commute between school campuses and Liberty Classical Schools office, REQUIRED.
