Job Title: Substitute Teacher
Location: Liberty Christian Preparatory School – Tavares, FL
Reports To: Principal
Pay Range: $15–$17 per hour
Position Summary
Liberty Christian Preparatory School is seeking compassionate, Christ-like Substitute Teachers to join our team. The Substitute Teacher will provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a positive, respectful, and faith-filled learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans and classroom activities as provided by the regular teacher.
- Create and maintain a Christ-centered, encouraging, and safe classroom atmosphere.
- Supervise students and maintain order in alignment with school policies and values.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators.
- Support the mission and vision of Liberty Christian Prep through professionalism and a servant-hearted attitude.
- Be flexible and willing to step into various grade levels or subject areas as needed.
- Ensure that all student needs are met with kindness, respect, and patience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to Christian education.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or teaching experience preferred.
- Ability to manage a classroom and follow lesson plans effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player and willing to collaborate with staff and administration.
- Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening as required by the State of Florida.
Work Schedule
- As needed; flexible scheduling based on school needs.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
