K-12 Technology and Computer Science Teacher
Liberty Christian Prep is seeking an innovative, knowledgeable and visionary 7-12th Grade technology and computer science teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 school year. The candidate must be a Christ follower, passionate, hardworking, and an enthusiastic teaching professional.
SUMMARY
Teaching assignment: 7th-12th grade elective middle school computer science and high school computer science. Courses include components in coding, drones, and robotics. The high school drone course prepares students for the Part 107 test.
SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES
-Creates a climate where students and staff have positive relationships with each other and are enthusiastic about learning.
-Provides interesting and stimulating materials and instruction, provides appropriate levels of support, and creates an environment in which students feel safe.
-Provides appropriate and proactive behavior management including communicating rules and expectations and assisting students to choose alternative resolutions to problem and conflicts.
-Provides students with specific feedback and information about their work, helping students reach a deeper understanding of concepts.
-Fosters a relationship with families to support children’s learning and well-being. Clearly communicates with families regarding students’ progress, actively involves family members in planning strategies for enhancing student’s progress and maintains a positive, collaborative relationship with students’ families.
-Fosters relationships with school colleagues to support student’s learning and well-being, participates in school activities in support of the vision/mission of the campus, assists colleagues with planning and implementing school projects (i.e. field trips, assemblies, PTA/Parent Night events), is open to and share new ideas, and establishes/maintains a positive, collaborative relationship with all team members.
-Makes media technology available to students and integrates into curriculum and learning experiences.
-Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
-Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
-Creates extra-curricular events or organizations related to the field of expertise.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be professing and maturing Christians enthusiastically supporting the school’s faith and mission statements. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Candidate must demonstrate a successful career in teaching, spiritual formation and event planning. The ideal candidate will excel at developing collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are a must, including writing and presentation abilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a science , math, or computer science related field. Preferred experience with drones and possession of a drone pilot license or is willing to earn it.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
