The Varsity Volleyball Head Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive high school volleyball program that reflects the mission and values of Liberty Christian Academy. This role includes oversight of all aspects of the varsity team while building a cohesive program aligned from youth through high school.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership and Development
- Develop and implement a clear vision for the volleyball program that promotes competitive excellence, character development, and spiritual growth.
- Build a vertically aligned program by collaborating with middle school and youth coaches to ensure consistent terminology, systems, and expectations.
- Create offseason development opportunities, including open gyms, strength and conditioning coordination, and skill development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, teamwork, and leadership within the program.
- Support retention efforts by engaging younger students and promoting longterm investment in the volleyball program.
- Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices that emphasize skill development, strategy, conditioning, and game preparation.
- Teach advanced volleyball skills, systems of play, situational awareness, and team concepts appropriate for the varsity level.
- Develop and implement game plans and make strategic ingame adjustments.
- Evaluate player performance and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Mentor studentathletes in leadership, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Department on scheduling, logistics, equipment needs, and event management.
- Ensure compliance with OHSAA regulations and school policies.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding expectations, schedules, and program updates.
- Integrate the school’s Christian mission into daily practices, competition, and team culture.
- Model Christcentered leadership and encourage spiritual growth among studentathletes.
- Demonstrated coaching experience in volleyball, preferably at the high school or competitive club level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and sustain a longterm program.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage conflict, motivate athletes, and maintain high standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and offseason commitments.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Liberty Christian Academy.
- Prior head coaching experience.
- Current Pupil Activity Permit
- Experience in program building, athlete development planning, and community engagement.
Salary : $2,500 - $5,000
