Position Summary
Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc., a leading provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, is committed to fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth for our participants.
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Coordinator to support the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient HR processes, maintaining compliance, and delivering a positive experience for both employees and candidates.
Administrative Support- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and file organization
- Prepare and distribute HR-related correspondence, reports, and internal communications
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records (both physical and digital) in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Update and manage employee information in HRIS and other systems
- Coordinate onboarding processes, including preparing new hire documentation and conducting background checks
- Support new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Assist with offboarding processes, including processing terminations, collecting company property, and maintaining records
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates in a professional and timely manner
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to track candidate progress and maintain applicant data in the ATS (Workable preferred)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with audits as needed
- Prepare routine HR reports and support data tracking initiatives
- Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees and external parties
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
- Assist with HR projects, events, and initiatives as assigned
- Stay informed on HR best practices, policies, and regulatory changes
Qualifications
Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative experience; HR experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Workable
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
