SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
The Head of Total Rewards is a strategic leader responsible for the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role ensures alignment between total rewards strategies and business objectives, while fostering equity, compliance, and performance-driven outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Strategic Leadership & Advisory
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership and HR on all compensation and benefits matters.
  • Ensure total rewards philosophy is competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Compensation Program Management
  • Lead the design and administration of base salary structures, short- and long-term incentive plans, and sales compensation programs.
  • Oversee the design, administration, and communication of compensation structures, including base pay, short-term and long-term incentives, and executive compensation.
  • Serve as an internal functional expert and key strategic partner to the executive team and the Compensation Committee of the Board.
  • Oversee annual compensation cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of compensation history, including salary, bonuses, equity grants, and related documentation.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarking and pay equity analyses to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Benefits Strategy & Administration
  • Design and manage health and welfare benefits, retirement plans (401(k), pension), deferred compensation, and executive retention programs.
  • Monitor effectiveness of benefits offerings and recommend enhancements based on market trends and employee needs.
  • Systems & Compliance
  • Lead successful transitions to new Total Rewards or HRIS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and HR to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting of compensation-related costs.
  • Sales Incentive & Job Evaluation
  • Partner with business leaders to develop performance-driven sales incentive plans.
  • Oversee job evaluation processes, ensuring accurate role descriptions and market pricing.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the Total Rewards team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of compensation experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in an organization with exposure to multiple departments, business leaders and teams
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) accreditation preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
