SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
A key strategic initiative of the Bank is the continued build-out and enhancement of the Financial Planning & Analysis function, with the primary purpose of providing business leaders and executive management with insightful and actionable guidance that helps Liberty achieve its Strategic Plan. Reporting to the FVP and LOB Finance Manager, this critical position will provide overall financial support to various assigned business units. The position will be responsible for monthly business unit reporting and variance analysis, ad-hoc analysis, Strategic Planning and forecasting, as well as annual operating budget preparation. Additionally, this position will provide recommendations to enhance profitability for assigned business units.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze financial results, trends and metrics for assigned business units
- Develop and prepare monthly reporting package including variance analysis vs. Budget, as well as tracking of key metrics
- Meet with business leaders to present monthly results, identifying key insights, risks and opportunities, and proactively providing recommendations for financial and operating performance improvement
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis to support business unit goals
- In partnership with business leaders, develop the annual operating budget for assigned business units
- Lead Strategic Planning activities for assigned business units. Prepare monthly and/or quarterly financial projections
- Actively participate in special projects for assigned business units, as well as the Finance Department.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management
- 4 years Accounting, Financial and/or Management Reporting with some experience in a Bank or Financial Services environment
- Experience in monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and annual budget preparation
- Analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication skills. Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
- Strong presentation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Highly organized with ability to work independently
- Detail oriented with experience in multi-tasking assigned responsibilities
