Transportation Supervisor
Location: Schenectady, NY
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Procurement and Transportation Manager
Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting, pushing, bending, reaching, standing and sitting for prolonged periods.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 6am - 3pm Monday - Friday. Weekends and holidays as needed.
Pay Range: The pay range is $18.95 to $26.40
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess and maintain a Class C CDL license.
- Must meet DOT 19A qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the transportation field.
- Minimum of 1year supervisory experience.
- Qualified as a Certified Examiner by DOT, or the ability to become qualified.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide input for route restructure for efficiency.
- Total vehicle mileage sheets weekly and input on computer.
- Total attendance sheets weekly and submit to Business Office for review.
- Maintain vehicle books on a monthly basis -Mileage and EDS books.
- Assist with garage work orders; coordinate FSS vehicles to garage per schedule.
- Monitor fuel dispensing system and provide reports to the business office.
- Coordinate vehicle dispatch and transfers, tow truck service calls
- Provide supervision for transportation bus drivers.
- Complete department payroll.
