Who We Are:Liberation Programs is one of Fairfield County's leading behavioral health organizations specializing in treatment for all types of substance use disorders including alcohol, opiates, depressants and stimulants. Our goal is to help individuals and families overcome addiction in order to restore their lives and ultimately strengthen our communities. Liberation provides services for youth, adults and families that include two inpatient treatment programs, outpatient and intensive outpatient services, health education for older adults and people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses, treatment and resources for adolescents and their families, education and prevention efforts in the community, and permanent supportive housing for families. In operation since 1971, the agency has sites in Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport and served more than 2,400 individuals in our last fiscal year.Our Mission:Liberation Programs' mission is to provide prevention, treatment and recovery services to help individuals and their families impacted by substance use and mental health conditions to foster hope and maintain wellness.Job Purpose/Function: The HR Associate will provide ongoing administrative assistance to the Senior Director of Human Resources within specific areas of human resources including recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, payroll collaboration, staff training, file maintenance and risk management.The HR Associate will work collaboratively with Agency management in order to provide assistance with human resources activities in order to promote and enhance the Agency’s credibility and professional reputation and decrease risk management exposure for Liberation Programs, Inc. Major Duties & Responsibilities:RecruitmentManages the recruitment and hiring of new employees for the agency including but not limited to: the requisition process, internal job posting, external advertising of new positions, review and screening of internal and external applicants, testing & credentialing of new hires.Develops and maintains a variety of recruiting resources, including but not limited to: on-line job boards, career centers at local colleges & universities, networking with colleagues in the mental health/substance abuse field, and promoting employee referrals.Maintains agency vacancy report and turnover statistics.New Hire On-boardingEnsure that all pre-employment verifications (references, background check, and medical/physical exam) are completed on all new employees and volunteers including education, licensure/certification, criminal and credit check and DMV driving record (if applicable)Provide new hires with an offer/acceptance letter outlining initial terms of employmentRequest email and computer access for new employeesMeet with new employees to complete applicable paperwork and set up employee file.Take employee’s picture and generate ID badge.Create new electronic file in payrollEmployee BenefitsAttends new hire benefits enrollment meetings for all eligible staffTimely submission of benefits enrollment paperwork to ensure receipt of benefit ID cards on or before effective date.Timely submission of terminations to benefit companies for dis-enrollments.Monthly reconciliation of benefit billing statementsAssist with annual benefits open enrollment and employee health fairPayroll CollaborationAssist management team with timely completion of personnel action forms, following up as neededMaintain and update employment changes in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, transfers, benefits, and LOA’s.Assist with tracking and updating benefit time accruals.Provide backup coverage for payroll processing as needed. Prioritize and communicate any issues or problems to the Senior Director of Human Resources or Director of Finance.Staff TrainingAssist with coordination of monthly staff trainingMaintain records for proof of attendance at all trainings, and meetings, as necessary File Maintenance & Data TrackingCreate, maintain and close out personnel files as requested by Vice President of Human ResourcesAssist with the tracking of employee performance appraisals, physicals/PPDs, CPR/First Aid, professional license and certificationsPerform routine employment verifications as needed Other Duties: Process all invoices and check requests for the Human Resources DepartmentSpecial projects as requested by the LPI management teamAssist with employee recognition and celebration eventsContribute to the development of plans and strategiesOffer assistance to other administrative departments as requestedWhat we OfferCompetitive CompensationComprehensive Health, Dental and Vision BenefitsTuition ReimbursementGenerous Paid Time OffReferral BonusesEmployee Assistance and Wellness BenefitsShort Term Disability and Employee Life Benefits
