Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards.
- Engage with customers, providing knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilizing basic math skills for cash handling and retail math.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring compliance with food service protocols.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations throughout shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha or Micros, is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices within the food industry is essential.
