CAMPUS SAFETY SUPERVISOR - 2 positions LHS and VHHS
Overview: The Campus Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the staff and students in the high schools.
Reports to: Director of Campus Safety
Employee Status: Specialized Professional Staff - Campus Safety
Calendar: 184 Teacher Attendance Days, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
- Previous experience developing and coordinating training programs preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly & concisely
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate security coverage with Director, Assistant Principal, Deans and School Resource Officer.
- Schedule assignments for campus safety personnel including extra duty assignments for evening and weekend activities.
- Represent the department at required meetings.
- Implements school safety and security activities.
- Assists with the monitoring of student movement and behavior during the school day
- Assists with the control of disruptive students and teams with appropriate school personnel about student behavior and behavior related issues
- Escorts and assists students to assigned areas
- Ensures that school policies and procedures are followed
- Works with first responders in regard to security and safety
- Giving professional development training to team members and staff in various areas related to the job
