Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed fire sprinkler system estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop accurate cost projections and pricing strategies.
- Review construction drawings and technical documents to identify scope requirements and potential challenges early in the process.
- Help ensure the company maintains the correct levels of work to keep staff productive all year long.
- Assist in the development of budgets, cost control measures, and project schedules to ensure profitability and timely completion.
- Support contract negotiations by providing detailed estimations that align with project goals, labor forecast and client expectations.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and project documentation for future reference and audits.
Skills
- Proficiency in fire sprinkler estimating.
- Strong and consistent communication skills to build relationships and ensure that the full scope is understood, all relevant items are accounted for, and clients are fully informed.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation processes, including site management, safety standards, and project execution.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and contractors.
- Deep understanding of fire sprinkler system design, installation practices, and relevant codes.
- Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting estimates clearly.
