Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight pickups, deliveries, and shipments using transportation management systems such as AS400 and Government Transportation Systems.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via email and phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and updates.
- Maintain accurate data entry for shipping & receiving logs, freight documentation, and dispatch records in AS400 and other logistics platforms.
- Data research and RFQ opportunities amongst different government platforms.
- Analyzing solicitations and scope of work to determine if LHP is a candidate to bid on Gov. freight.
- Attend meetings to discuss solicitations, bidding techniques and capabilities.
Experience
- Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems in a plus
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-projects confidently.
- Knowledge of freight operations including shipping & receiving, fleet management, and 3PL coordination is recommended
- Knowledge of government freight, DoD, or F.E.M.A is preferred
- Proficiency in data entry using platforms like AS400 or Microsoft 365
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Join us to play a crucial role in supporting government freight logistics!
