Territory Account Manager
Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000 base salary bonus
Location: Based near Columbus, OH, with multistate travel required (travel expenses are covered and/or reimbursed)
Position Overview:
LHH Recruitment is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Territory Account Manager to manage and grow a defined multi-state territory. This individual will be responsible for developing new business while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships within the heavy industrial equipment industry or a similar sector. This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment and enjoys frequent travel and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a multi-state sales territory, driving revenue through both new business development and account management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries
- Conduct on-site client visits, product demonstrations, and presentations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and CRM updates
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years of experience in sales and/or account management within heavy industrial equipment or a related industry (construction, manufacturing, machinery, or similar)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively across multiple states
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
