Location: Minneapolis, MN
Contract: 2 months
Pay: $20-$24/hr.
LHH is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to hire a Staffing Support Coordinator for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with hospital staffing, scheduling, or health unit coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting workforce operations.
In this position, you will work closely with department managers and staffing teams to coordinate schedules, manage staffing changes, edit timecards, and ensure appropriate staffing coverage across clinical departments.
Responsibilities
- Assist managers with staff scheduling and workforce planning for multiple departments.
- Create and maintain balanced four-week staff schedules.
- Coordinate shift assignments and assist with coverage needs.
- Process daily staffing and scheduling changes within scheduling systems.
- Manage vacation requests and coordinate annual and seasonal vacation scheduling.
- Monitor staffing requirements and ensure compliance with department guidelines.
- Perform daily timecard reviews and edits for assigned units.
- Provide backup support to Staffing Specialists and Resource Management teams.
- Maintain accurate staffing records and support operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- 3 years of clerical, administrative, or office support experience.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Staffing Specialist, Health Unit Coordinator, Scheduler, or a similar healthcare support role.
- Previous hospital or healthcare staff scheduling experience required.
- Experience with scheduling and workforce management systems such as API, MyTime, Kronos, UKG, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
