What You'll Do
- Record and review oil, gas, and NGL revenues for operated properties on a monthly basis
- Process non-operated revenue activity from partner statements and check detail
- Prepare and load monthly revenue accruals to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
- Reconcile revenue transactions and allocations across properties, products, and ownership interests
- Process revenue distributions and support month-end close activities
- Assist with revenue account reconciliations and true-up entries
- Own the gas balancing process from initial reporting through final accounting and reconciliation
- Analyze gas imbalance positions and prepare balancing schedules for management and audit support
- Record gas balancing adjustments, imbalance liabilities, and make-up gas entries
- Manage and coordinate the annual 1099 reporting process, including corrections and filings
- Partner with land, operations, production, and marketing teams to investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies
- Support the Revenue Manager in strengthening controls, procedures, and public-company compliance requirements
- Serve as a resource and mentor to junior revenue accounting team members
What They're Looking For
- 5 years of upstream oil & gas revenue accounting experience
- Strong understanding of operated and non-operated revenue accounting
- Experience managing gas balancing and imbalance accounting processes
- Proven experience owning the 1099 reporting process
- Strong knowledge of revenue accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with oil and gas accounting systems such as Enertia, Quorum, P2, or similar platforms
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
