Job Title: Senior Manager of Operations Finance
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Operations Finance will lead the financial operations and strategic planning efforts of the organization. This role is pivotal in managing financial processes, analyzing project profitability, optimizing payment terms, and enhancing working capital management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. This role emphasizes business partnering and strategic influence to drive operational efficiency and financial performance through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Facilitate strategic planning activities, including growth and commercial modeling, and annual planning exercises.
- Partner closely with business units to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational objectives.
Project and Customer Profitability:
- Conduct data analysis on sales projects and customer profitability to identify opportunities for margin improvement.
- Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate project profitability and develop strategies to enhance financial performance.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics related to project and customer profitability.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve customer profitability and enhance business margins.
Vendor/Supplier Optimization and Working Capital Management:
- Lead vendor selection and management processes to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Optimize vendor relationships by negotiating favorable contracts and payment terms to enhance cash flow and working capital.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains and cost efficiencies.
- Implement vendor performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements.
- Implement strategies to expand payment terms and improve cash flow management.
- Build automation processes within the ERP system to streamline payment processing.
- Monitor and manage the company's working capital, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
- Utilize data analytics to identify and prioritize payments to key suppliers.
Business Partnering and Strategic Influence:
- Act as a key business partner to operational departments, providing financial insights and strategic guidance.
- Support and influence business performance through provision of insightful business performance tracking and analytics.
- Identify external trends, risks, and opportunities and translate these into strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with other finance sub-functions (including Treasury, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory teams) at regional and global levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance or operations management, with a focus on financial analysis and strategic planning.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and working capital management.
- Ability to leverage large data sets and advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, CRM tools like Salesforce, BI tools like Tableau) to derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
