Quality Engineer

This is a highly visible role where you will serve as a key bridge between customers, suppliers, and internal operations, ensuring quality excellence across the full product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

Customer-Facing Quality Leadership:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, driving timely resolution and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to investigate issues, validate corrective actions, and support ongoing partnerships.
• Communicate technical quality updates clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

Supplier & Field Quality Management:

• Lead supplier quality initiatives, including issuing and managing non-conformances and driving corrective actions.
• Partner directly with domestic and international suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance.
• Support new product introduction efforts by ensuring supplier readiness and compliance with quality expectations.

Hands-On Quality & Operations Support:

• Actively engage on the shop floor and within warehouse operations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues.
• Oversee non-conforming material processes, including quarantine, documentation, and disposition.
• Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout receiving, handling, and delivery processes.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting:

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to improve product and process performance.
• Track and report key quality metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence and process optimization.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery environments.
• Strong working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001) and core quality tools (NCR, CAPA, root cause analysis).
• Proven ability to operate in a customer-facing role, balancing technical expertise with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment, including warehouse, production, or field settings.
• Ability to travel occasionally for customer and supplier interactions.
• Background supporting construction equipment, machinery, or metal-based manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, finishing, etc.).
• Exposure to global supply chains and international supplier collaboration.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $100,000
