Legal Assistant – Municipal & Litigation Practice
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 annually Bonus
LHH is working with a respected law firm who’s seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support its Municipal and Litigation practice groups. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys on complex litigation matters. While municipal law experience is a plus, litigation experience is required. Municipal law is not required but an interest in it is.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in municipal and litigation matters
- Draft, revise, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Prepare documents for filing in state and federal courts, including e-filing
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, and client meetings
- Maintain and organize case files and litigation documents
- Coordinate service of process and document production
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
- Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
- Assist with trial preparation, hearing preparation, and related litigation support
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of litigation legal assistant experience
- Experience with court filings, calendaring, and case management
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal document preparation
- Municipal law experience is preferred but not required
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
