Director of Human Resources
Hybrid | Brea, CA $130,000 - $160,000 Base Incentive Opportunity
Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead HR operations for a growing technology-focused organization with approximately 270 employees across the U.S. and Canada. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this leader will partner closely with executives to drive talent strategy, organizational development, employee engagement, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on HR strategy and organizational effectiveness
- Lead all HR functions including employee relations, talent management, performance management, compliance, and workforce planning
- Drive succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement programs
- Lead organizational change and transformation initiatives
- Partner with Finance and IT on HR systems, reporting, and workforce analytics
- Develop and mentor the HR team while fostering a high-performance culture
- Build strong partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Product teams
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Proven success leading change management and organizational transformation initiatives
- Strong expertise in talent development, succession planning, organizational development, employee relations, and leadership coaching
- Experience supporting organizations with 200 employees
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders and navigate complex organizational environments
- Strong business acumen, communication, and relationship-building skills
Preferred
- Technology industry experience
- Experience leading HR transformation or digital modernization initiatives
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
- Exposure to AI adoption or workforce technology initiatives
- Mandarin language skills are a plus
