An upscale boutique nonprofit with revenue exceeding $40 million is seeking a Grant Accountant/Analyst. The role includes a blend of managing general accounting and reporting, as well as overseeing the full cycle of the post-award grant process.
Below are some details of the role:
General Accounting Responsibilities:
This includes supporting each line item on the balance sheet—from cash reconciliations and invoicing (i.e., accounts receivable), to managing the full cycle of accounts payable and ensuring costs are properly recorded. Responsibilities also include performing the month-end close and preparing financial statements. In addition, the individual will be involved in providing supporting schedules and documentation to external auditors.
Grant Responsibilities:
This includes the full grant lifecycle—from developing budgets for multiple programs, performing variance analysis by comparing budgets to actuals and explaining material differences, processing budget modifications, and managing vouchering (including invoicing funding sources for reimbursement), through to final closeout.
The ideal candidate should have 3 years of relevant experience.
