Senior Manager / Director, Corporate Reporting (Title and compensation commensurate with experience)
An operating entity of a Fortune 500 company is seeking a Senior Manager or Director‑level Corporate Reporting professional to join its finance team. This highly visible role supports a diverse portfolio of inventory‑based operating subsidiaries across North America.
The company’s portfolio consists of defensive, recession‑resilient businesses, manufacturing and distributing essential products that perform consistently across economic cycles. The organization offers strong stability, robust resources, and a collaborative corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the consolidation and reporting of financial statements for multiple operating entities across North America
- Ensure consolidated financials are accurate, complete, and compliant with both U.S. GAAP and IFRS
- Perform high‑level review and oversight of entity‑level transactional accounting, which is executed locally by subsidiary finance teams
- Develop and perform analytical reviews, including variance and trend analysis
- Prepare insightful management commentary explaining business performance, accomplishments, challenges, and emerging opportunities for senior leadership
- Play a key role in the post‑acquisition integration of newly acquired companies, including:
Transitioning acquired entities to the parent company’s reporting and analytics methodologies
Overseeing or advising on system implementations related to financial reporting and consolidation
Partnering with IT and finance teams to streamline reporting structures and improve consolidation efficiency
- Act as the primary liaison to Division Controllers and Divisional CFOs on complex accounting matters and technical issues
- Research accounting guidance on an as‑needed basis and draft technical memoranda to support accounting conclusions and provide direction to operating entities
- Partner closely with external auditors and third‑party consultants on complex accounting treatments and special projects
Qualifications
CPA required
Background in Big 4 or mid‑tier public accounting, combined with private‑sector experience within large, complex, multinational organizations (required)
Strong experience in corporate reporting, consolidation, and multi‑entity environments
Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
Experience researching accounting guidance and preparing technical documentation (deep FASB specialization not required)
Ability to operate effectively at a senior leadership level, balancing technical expertise with business insight and communication
Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder‑management skills
