Temporary Finance Analyst | Part-Time | Hybrid
Location: Princeton, NJ – Hybrid
Schedule: 20 hours per week
Assignment: November 2026 – April 2027
A prestigious, mission-driven organization in the Princeton area is seeking a Temporary Finance Analyst to join its team. This is a great opportunity for a finance or accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis and wants to contribute within a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
The Finance Analyst will review financial information, assess financial health, and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders. The role offers exposure to nonprofit financial analysis, program operations, and a variety of financial projects.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze audited and internal financial statements, operating budgets, and financial forecasts
- Analyze financial information and identify key findings or areas of concern
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Provide financial guidance and recommendations based on analysis
- Support ongoing program and financial management activities
- Participate in team discussions and financial reviews
- Assist with additional finance-related projects as needed
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
- Experience reviewing or analyzing financial information
- Knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Nonprofit financial statement experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
