Line Shop Analyst | Leading Utility & Energy Company
We’re looking for a Line Shop Analyst to support financial performance and capitalization initiatives across line shops and service centers in Northeast Ohio. This is a highly collaborative role that blends financial analysis, operational review, process improvement, and field engagement. What You’ll Do:
- Travel to line shops and service centers across Northeast Ohio to partner with managers and directors on financial performance reviews
- Analyze capitalization rates and identify opportunities to improve capitalization performance across operating areas
- Review time-charging practices and investigate how labor hours are allocated to ensure compliance and consistency
- Conduct field visits to understand local processes, identify gaps, and provide real-time guidance on capitalization decisions
- Evaluate reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics to help streamline supervisor reviews and decision-making
- Partner with Accounting Policy, Operations, Engineering, and Business Services teams on process improvement initiatives
- Develop and support training materials, guidance documents, and operational playbooks that translate accounting concepts into practical business actions
- Assist with reviews of design standards and business processes to ensure alignment with capitalization objectives
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in financial analysis, accounting, operational finance, business analysis, or process improvement
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, capitalization concepts, cost allocation, or labor charging processes
- Ability to analyze financial data and comfortably discuss findings with managers and business leaders
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with confidence to ask probing questions and challenge assumptions when needed
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and business stakeholders
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Toledo, Akron, and Cleveland areas

💵Salary: $61 - $63/hr
