Demand Planner
A fast-growing beauty organization is looking to add a Demand Planner to support its expanding wholesale and retail business. This role will be responsible for translating business trends into actionable demand plans, supporting revenue targets while ensuring inventory efficiency across key distribution channels.
The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to influence planning decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage demand forecasts across product lines, incorporating historical data, seasonal patterns, and current business inputs
- Adjust forecasts based on changing trends, promotional activity, and evolving market conditions
- Support planning cycles through data preparation, modeling, and ongoing forecast refinement
- Evaluate product performance using sales data, identifying trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities
- Provide reporting and analysis to support business decisions across categories and channels
- Highlight key drivers impacting results and propose recommendations to improve performance
- Partner with supply chain teams to align production and replenishment plans with demand expectations
- Monitor product availability and identify potential gaps or excess, recommending corrective actions
- Support inventory balancing efforts across channels to optimize product flow
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, and finance to align on assumptions and priorities
- Support commercial teams with insights related to product movement, timing, and planning implications
- Contribute to discussions around product launches, promotional timing, and business initiatives
- Maintain and improve reporting tools used for tracking demand, performance, and inventory health
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data inputs across planning systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline planning processes and enhance visibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or a related field
- 4 years of experience in demand planning, analytics, or a related function within consumer goods or retail
- Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data-driven environments
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work within tight timelines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
Compensation & Growth
- Salary range of $120,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience.
