Senior Consolidations Accountant
Our client is seeking a Senior Consolidations Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that is expanding through acquisitions and offers significant exposure to financial reporting, consolidation accounting, and post-acquisition integration activities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Perform detailed intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Analyze and resolve intercompany accounting discrepancies across multiple entities.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform variance analysis and explain material fluctuations in financial results.
- Support the accounting and finance team with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis.
- Participate in post-acquisition integration efforts, including the alignment of accounting processes, systems, and controls.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure consistency in financial reporting across the organization.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives related to consolidation and reporting activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and consolidation experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and consolidation accounting.
- Experience with intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Exposure to acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integration activities is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
