Accounting Coordinator
LHH is seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Accounting Coordinator to support a variety of financial, payroll, and administrative activities. This position serves as a key resource for internal teams by ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely processing of employee-related transactions, and coordination of operational support functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively across departments, and enjoys balancing accounting responsibilities with administrative coordination. This position is direct hire and will pay between $23 and $27/hr.
Job Duties
- Review and process company credit card transactions and employee expense documentation.
- Verify receipts and supporting records for completeness and accuracy.
- Follow up with employees regarding missing documentation, expense discrepancies, or outstanding items.
- Ensure expenses are accurately categorized and entered into the company's accounting system.
- Maintain organized records related to expense reporting and financial transactions.
- Audit employee timesheets to confirm accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Track and resolve outstanding or unapproved time entries by coordinating with employees and supervisors.
- Confirm timesheet approvals are completed before payroll deadlines.
- Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks and reporting as needed.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including airfare, hotels, rental vehicles, and other transportation needs.
- Monitor travel plans for compliance with company guidelines and budget expectations.
- Provide support for travel changes, cancellations, and schedule adjustments.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
- Organize and maintain accounting, payroll, and administrative records for compliance and audit purposes.
- Support accounting, human resources, and operations teams with administrative projects and day-to-day activities.
- Assist with special projects, process improvements, and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in accounting support, office administration, bookkeeping, payroll, or a related role.
- Experience working with ERP, accounting, or business management software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheet management, formulas, and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to professionally communicate with employees and managers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
