Senior Payment Poster
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Senior Payment Poster for our client based in Phoenix, AZ, offering a Direct Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately recording and processing payments received from patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
This position is based in Phoenix, AZ and 100% on-site!!
Compensation : $20-23 per hour, multiple bonus opportunities. Eligible for sign-on bonus.
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 6 am-4 pm, flexible
Job Type : Direct hire
Responsibilities :
Accurately post payments received from patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to corresponding patient accounts in the billing system.
Ensure correct allocation of payments to respective patient accounts and maintain accurate account balances.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between received payments and amounts owed, including identifying and addressing issues like duplicate payments or denied claims.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as healthcare organization policies and procedures, regarding payment processing.
Maintain up-to-date and precise records of all payments received and transactions posted in the billing system.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers by addressing inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
Supervise credit card processing and uphold security protocols.
Foster positive teamwork and effective communication within the department.
Balance daily and monthly receipts accurately.
Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or relevant certificates preferred.
Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot table skills.
Typing speed of 35 wpm, 10-key by touch, and familiarity with general office equipment.
Minimum of 6 years of previous experience in billing, general office procedures, bookkeeping, or accounting.
Demonstrated technical skills and behavioral competencies in previous roles.
