Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a proficient Hospital-Based Physician Medical Billing and Coding Specialist for a confidential client. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in physician accounts receivable and a keen eye for detail in hospital billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing and Collections: Manage and execute hospital-based physician billing and collections with a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience.
Claims Resolution: Follow through on claims and ensure timely resolution.
Insurance Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of PPO, HMO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare insurance plan guidelines.
Account Auditing: Audit credit accounts effectively and ensure compliance with accepted guidelines.
Coding Proficiency: Possess knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and LCD/NCD coding standards.
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Cerner systems is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in hospital-based physician billing and collections.
Skills: Strong proficiency in physician accounts receivable, claims resolution, and insurance guidelines.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to audit accounts and ensure compliance with coding standards.
Preferred: Experience with Cerner systems.
