What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Engineer- Quality Assurance Lead position at LHC Group?
Summary
The Test Engineer develops and leads creation of manual and automated testing solutions across wide variety of applications. Works on small to large, complex projects requiring technical skills in multiple technical environments and applying knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a project testing lead. May coach more junior technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Meet with customers for various departments to create documentation on specifications and other artifacts related to projects assigned
- Owns the process and creation of acceptance criteria for related User Stories
- Responsible for the creation and execution of both manual and automated test cases that meet the functional requirements as well as building out regression test cases
- Ability to assist in creating and executing load tests to ensure capturing of performance capabilities on code sets
- Supervises/leads other technical staff as needed with regards to all testing responsibilities
- Project management and leadership skills are essential in being able to plan for the appropriate testing activities related to project deliverables
Education and Experience
- Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 10 years
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information systems, or equivalent work experience
- Six plus years of testing experience with additional four years of analysis/programming experience
- Five plus years working with Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, Visual Studio and C# .Net)
- Well versed with Agile development methodologies and respective tools (JIRA or TFS)
- Two to three years of experience with Test Automation Software
