Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
- Engineering plan production for public works related projects, including bridges, transportation related structural infrastructure, urban street and rural approach bridge roadway design, culverts and minor industrial structural projects
- Preparation of project plans using CADD including plan layouts, bridge plans, utilities, grading plans and assist with calculations and determination of pay quantities and takeoffs
- Assist project engineers and project managers in a team oriented and supportive environment
- May conduct field inspection/construction observation on projects
Minimum Qualifications
- 0 to 5 years of experience working as an engineering technician
- Associate’s degree in engineering technology or equivalent experience
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative group
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working as an engineering technician
- Application materials demonstrate ability to develop and produce civil engineering drawings in CADD including experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Bentley (Open Bridge Modeler, MicroStation Connect, Geopak or Open Roads Designer)
- Strong communication skills; able to be concise and communicate effectively
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external disciplines
Salary Range
- This position’s anticipated base salary range is $51,300- $62,000 annually (This position is eligible for yearend & profit-sharing bonuses, as well as overtime pay for all hours that exceed 40 in a work week) Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team
