What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Worker position at LHA?
The Lakewood Housing Authority is seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Worker on a full time/permanent basis. The Authority currently manages 206 apartments at 3 sites in Lakewood. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing work to complete routine/emergency/inspection/preventative maintenance work orders, to maintain grounds and common areas, to renovate vacant apartments for new tenants along with a variety of repairs and maintenance on buildings and mechanical equipment. Experience desired in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance.
Minimum requirements include HS diploma/GED plus at least 3 years of experience in building maintenance or vocational training that involved training and/or experience in areas of carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Good people skills and a valid driver's license are required. Ability to read and write English is required.
