Role Description
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring product quality by conducting inspections, testing parts and materials, and documenting findings. The role involves identifying and addressing quality control issues, collaborating with teams to maintain standards, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company guidelines. The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in maintaining the high level of precision and reliability that LH Medical is known for.
- 1st Shift is scheduled for 630 AM - 3 PM EST
- 3st Shift is scheduled for 1030 PM - 7 AM EST
- 3rd Shift receives 10% Shift Premium of hourly pay
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
- Utilize advanced measurement tools including coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product specifications against technical drawings and standards.
- Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO & FDA regulations, and other relevant quality management systems to ensure compliance across all processes.
- Collect, analyze, and document data related to product quality, defect rates, and process deviations for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions in compliance with FDA and company protocols.
- Support calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision systems to ensure ongoing accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in quality management are an advantage
- Prior experience or background in medical device manufacturing and ISO certifications is highly desirable
- Proficiency in inspection techniques, measurement tools, and defect detection
- Experience in quality assurance protocols, quality control processes, and compliance with industry standards
- Attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork capabilities
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and their quality management systems is a plus
