We’re looking for a skilled, safety-focused GSE Mechanic I to join our maintenance team. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with a wide range of powered and non-powered ground support equipment that keeps airport and air operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do

Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul a wide variety of ground support equipment (GSE)

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems to quickly and accurately diagnose issues

Remove malfunctioning equipment from service and ensure it is fully repaired and safe before return to operation

Use technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings to solve complex repair challenges

Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life

Safely utilize proper tools, equipment, and materials to complete maintenance tasks

Support facility or property equipment as needed

Mentor and guide less-experienced mechanics on diagnostics and repair techniques

Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including flexible shifts, overtime, and occasional travel

Always model and uphold strong safety practices to protect coworkers, customers, and operations
What You Bring

High school diploma or GED
-
Minimum 3 years of industrial and/or commercial maintenance experience

Strong working knowledge of:

Gas and diesel engines
-
Hydraulic systems
-
Battery-operated equipment
-
Automatic and manual transmissions and drivetrains

Arc/MIG and acetylene welding
-
Light and heavy-duty tires and wheels
-

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams

Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles and equipment

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office knowledge a plus)

Clear and professional communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Physical ability to bend, stoop, work in confined spaces or at heights, and lift up to 75 lbs occasionally

Own a complete set of general mechanic tools (specialty tools provided by the company)
Preferred Qualifications

Six (6) months of formal technical training in automotive, truck, or equipment maintenance
OR two (2) years of relevant commercial/industrial equipment servicing experience
(Formal schooling may substitute for experience—1 year of schooling = 1 year of experience) -
CDL Class A license

Prior military AGE/GSE experience
